Miracles
Hi all,
I really don't know how else to describe it. A week ago, we didn't know if Tim was going to last through the weekend. Now, he's had the breathing tube removed and is even moving some of the fingers of his right hand - the one that's supposed to be paralyzed!
I am getting this second hand (ok, that was a pun) from a friend of Tim's who called me a few minutes ago. He said that the nurses were very optimistic for Tim. Also, he tried to talk earlier, but it was too painful. Tim apparently knows what year it is, but isn't really sure where he is - he knew he was in a hospital, but not which one.
This seems like the perfect time for some favorite verses...
Lam 3:22, 23 Because of the LORD's great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.
Please continue to leave comments and notes to Tim. Ken is printing them and taking them to him at night.

I know you because I have been praying for you. Each time I read the updates on your health, I envision my God touching you with an outstretched hand, allowing movement and sensation.

This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us - whatever we ask - we know that we have what we asked of him. AMEN
On a lighter note, sort of:
I was also praying for you and for Mark while he was able to be with you. I prayed for the nurses that would be putting up with Mark and wondering if his face was the first thing you saw when you woke up. (GASP!)(smile)

I just had a thought. Last summer I learned that God wants us to be in the story He is writing instead of us writing our own story (-Louie Giglio). His story is always more exciting and filled with surprise twists and gasps from the audience. Well, I just realized that God is writing your story. And amazingly, we are not only witnessing it from the audience, but we are also key players!! What a story you will have to tell when you get out of there! And don't worry - the parts you have forgotten are all right here in Mark's blog!!
I have loved getting to tell everyone about you - how annoying you were when we first met. And then how I came to realize you weren't annoying at all, you just have Mark's sense of humor to the hilt!!! That's one thing I adore in Mark and I just want you to know how much I love it in you too. I also love the way you have loved me - even when I was annoyed :) And especially the way you love my girls. You should hear their prayers for their Uncle Timmy every night. God has truly heard us all, as Chris quoted in I John 5:14-15 (one of my favorite verses), God is using us in His story as He hears our prayers and gives us what we have asked! All praise goes to our Great God, the AUTHOR and finisher of our faith!!!
